Agent Strahm is pursuing Hoffman while he plays more of Jigsaw’s bizarre games in an effort to demonstrate that he is an apprentice to the master. Hoffman has been testing Strahm all along, and he needs to pass the exam in order to survive. Strahm is unaware of this.
