Business hours – If your business is always open, you’re advised to set all the days to “open 24 hours”.

Your contact email address – Use a functional email address so that people can contact you through your email address.

Website – if your business has a website, enter your URL in the space provided for you. For example https://jonakyblog.com

How to setup your catalog manager

Images – Add image to give a positive impression to your potential clients. Surprisingly you can add up-to 10 images per item if you have many images that best describes your product.

Note: WhatsApp reviews all the images that you’ll add to know if it corresponds to their terms of service.

Item name – This is where you should write the name of your product.

Price – This is where to fix the price tag of your products. You can leave this field empty if your product is negotiable.

Description – Here you should provide a description of your product so that customers can see the reason why they should buy the product.

Link – Provide a website link (e-commerce store) to the product if you have the product in your website.

Item code – Provide a code to your product if you have unique code for each item.

How to create an amazing WhatsApp business catalog

I’ll provide you an easy steps with screenshots on how to create a unique and amazing catalog on WhatsApp business.

Step #1: Download the App

With your mobile phone, download WhatsApp business for Android or WhatsApp business for iPhone. Depending on your device operating system, you can as well go to Apple store or Google Play store to download it.

Step #2: Setup your business profile

After you have finished downloading the app, install it and register it with your existing WhatsApp phone number or you can use a different phone number for your WhatsApp business.

Carefully setup some info about your business, such as: name, image etc. you can as well skip that and do it later.

Now tap the three dots at the top right edge of your screen and click on Settings > Business tools.

Step #3: Organize your Catalogue

When you click on catalogue, it will take you to the Catalogue Manager. Now click on the plus (+) icon to add new products.

Step #4: Add your products

Click on “Add Images” icon to add the featured image of your product. Click on “more fields” to add other fields like: description, link & item code.

Note:  You can add up to 10 images per item if you have many images that describes the item.

When you’re done, click “Save”.

Step #5: Add more products

In order to add many products to your catalogue, repeat step #4. Below image shows some items that I have added to my catalogue.

Step #6: A link to your catalogue

To send your catalogue link to your friends or to other social media platforms, tap the icon at the upper right corner of your screen.

Now select how you want to share the link. You can click the first option which is “send via WhatsApp Business”.

Click on “Copy link” if you want to copy your catalogue link and use it on another platform.

Tap “Share link” if you want to share it to other apps in your phone. Apps like: Facebook, Instagram, Xender, Twitter, Gmail etc.

Step #7: Invite people to view your catalogue

When chatting with your friends, you can send products from your catalogue to your friends by tapping on the “attachment icon” and clicking the “catalog icon”.

When it opens, choose whether you want to send a product to the person or whether you want to send the entire catalogue link.

Step #8: Potential clients can view your catalogue

When you share your catalogue link or your product link to friends or to social media platforms, different people can now have access to your WahtsApp business catalogue.

If you only shared a link to an item from your catalogue, anyone that clicked on that link will see a preview of that particular product with two buttons namely; “MESSAGE BUSINESS” and “ADD TO CART” button.

Just below the product, the customer will see “More” and “SEE ALL”. When the person click on either of them, s/he will be able to see your business profile, other products or items from your catalogue as well as a “MESSAGE” button.

The message button can be used to contact product or item seller.
